Artist Zuleny Gonzalez recently completed mural panels titled Centered around Intersectionality.  These panels will be displayed during a reception on Thursday, March 7 from 2-4pm at the Boston Center for Independent Living. As part of the reception, attendees are invited to create a collaborative work of art to be hung in a common area at BCIL.  The theme of this piece will be identity, centering around the prompt "I am _____!" Alternatives to Suicide, facilitated by members of the Advocates Peer Specialist team, is a non-clinical, mutual support group – a community for those who have been, or are currently in deep distress. It is designed to be a healing, non-judgmental space for conversation and connection. This group is open to anyone in the community, not just individuals from Advocates, and participation is completely confidential. The group meets every Monday, except for holidays and when the library is closed during inclement weather.
