Wage Replacement Hearing
October 15, 2015 @ 1:00 am - 5:00 pm
TIME CHANGED to 1:00pm, Room A2, Statehouse Fact Sheet
Hearing before the Financial Services on H.786, the bill to stop disability insurers from discriminating against persons with psychiatric challenges. It prohibits these insurers from denying or terminating wage replacement benefits just because a person’s disability results from a mental health condition.
If you’d like to testify, please contact Susan Fendell, Senior Attorney at MHLAC (contact below). Even if you’re not planning to testify, your attendance will let the Committee know that losing wage replacement benefits – just because the disability is psychiatric in nature – is an important issue.
The hearing will be in room A2 at the State House, near the Park Street Station (red and green lines) and Downtown Crossing (orange line).
