Privacy, Pets & Possibilities: Making Integrated Care Work

The Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee presents a cutting edge look at how  the lack of control over psychiatric information in medical records is a barrier to integrated care and how implicit bias against persons with psychiatric diagnoses affects the ability to get and deliver cost‐effective physical health care.

Alternative approaches to mental health care that work will be explored, including housing first and complementary modalities, like meditation and pet therapy and how to electronic  records work for both providers and clients.

Agenda features advocates for peer support including

  • Vivian Nunez, B.S.W., CPS, Wrap Facilitator, PPAL Family Advocate
  • Ruthie Poole, CPS, The Transformation Center
  • Dani Scott, Western Mass Recovery Learning Community
