Webinar: Homelessness and Unstable Housing

This webinar will provide an overview of homelessness and housing instability, its subsequent impact on service engagement and outcomes, and how behavioral health providers can incorporate housing stability assessments into standard practice. The presenters will demonstrate how to integrate some basic tools into standard assessment and care, along with ways to use them to guide treatment and enhance recovery outcomes.
Participants will learn:
* What constitutes being homeless and facing unstable housing circumstances
* Factors that increase risk of housing instability and homelessness
* The importance of housing stability in achieving self-actualized change and recovery
* How to incorporate homelessness risk assessment adapting to these issues in daily practice
Pat Tucker, MBA, is a Senior Program Manager with Advocates for Human Potential and a nationally recognized leader in supportive housing, supported employment, and community integration for people with disabilities, including those with behavioral health conditions.
Keith Scott, is theVice President of Peer Support and Self-Advocacy, Advocates, Inc. Previously he was a program director, administrative director, director of clinical services, and director of recovery and peer support.
