Springfield: Free School: Coalition Building and the Co-production of Knowledge

The University of Massachusetts (UMASS), Western Mass Recovery Learning Community and the Community Chess Social Club Organization (CCCO) would like to let you know about upcoming events in the community “Free school” series. This is the first event of a series of free courses that the CCCO will be leading in the Western Mass area. The CCCO been working diligently within the community with its partner UMASS to bring activist college courses to the Recovery Learning Community’s Bowen Center at 235 Chestnut Street. These three classes are what was chosen out of a larger course syllabus that entails a broader history behind science activism.

Class meeting days and a brief description of what the class will entail:

April 5th: Coalition building and the co-production of knowledge: How to build partnerships with people that have the same interest to work towards accomplishing goals together and using people power to promote a message to government officials.
