Employment Now Coalition Coordinator

The Disability Policy Consortium is recruiting to fill the position of Employment Now Coalition Coordinator.  The Employment Now Coalition is a broad-based coalition of people with disabilities, people working to employ people with disabilities, and other individual and advocates.  The coalition was organized in late 2006, and has been successfully working with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to establish the Model Employer program.
 
The Employment Now Coalition is a cross-disability organization seeking to increase competitive employment of people with disabilities. Our goal is to reduce stigma and promote pro-employment, consumer-focused changes in the employment support and educational systems and other public and private sector policies and practices.

 
Responsibilities include:
 
A.    ENC Management: Working with Coalition members and external entities to ensure that the work of the Coalition is moving forward;
B.    Develop Information Base:  Obtain information regarding the current efforts to expand the benefits counseling infrastructure within the state, and work to ensure wide awareness and easy access to this information
C.     Work to Expand Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities through Public Policy Initiatives
D.   Work specifically with ENC members and allies to identify systemic barriers to employment and develop strategies for removing these barriers
E.    Develop a Powerful Web Presence: Enhance Communication and Promote Employment Opportunities for People with Disabilities.


Qualifications:
 
The person selected for this position will have a successful track record as a community organizer, have worked with people with disabilities, and have a general knowledge of the barriers towards employment faced by people with disabilities. 

Employment Now Coalition Web Content Manager

Responsibilities include:
 

A.    Maintain an ENC mailing list and keeping member addresses accurate.
 Create and modify documents, news postings, and links as necessary to keep the ENC web site current and relevant.
B.    Assist in developing and monitoring new applications as they emerge from the Coalition as priorities (i.e. blogs, forums, electronic newsletters, Constant Contact distributions, etc.)
C.    To assist the ENC Project Coordinator as subsequently defined; participate in staff meeting, Coalition meetings, and prepare reports as requested

 
Qualifications:
 
The person selected for this position will have experience in a work environment with web content management systems particularly, Dot Net Nuke tools and interface.  Experience with HTML is required, XML a plus.  MS Office tools experience is also a requirement.  This is a Windows XP and Win 7 environment.  Applicants selected for the interview process will be requested to prepare an ENC page for review.
